A Four Week Performance oriented Summer Theatre Programme

Concept

With experts from both the areas: theatre and music, the focus of this programme is to enhance the creative potential of individuals who will participate in this month long creative learning programme and to make learning a pragmatic and illuminating practice through the application of Creative Drama and Theatre Arts.

Activities

In this 4 week Theatre –in- Appreciation Course, a range of intensive, action-packed Theatre and music acts will take place, where besides technical aspects of theatre, participants will be facilitated to discern certain values such as Sensitivity, Concern, Self-Reliance, Integrity, Adaptability and Creativity in their lives as well as their work. Moreover, text analysis, character study, scene work, improvisations and voice & speech work will be a part of the programme.

Learning outcomes

Participants will get the opportunity to bring their Personal, Interpersonal & Research Skills into play to its full potential which thereby complements their hard skills and cultivates certain qualities and behavioral traits such as, Optimism, Motivation and Self-management in them.

All the participants will collectively script, design and direct their productions and finally all their work culminate into a Theatre Evening. All the participants will be awarded Atelier’s Certificate of Recognition and the work video recorded and compiled in DVD.

This programme is functional since 2004.
